Welcome to the internet home of Grace Baptist Church in Ely, Nevada. We want to have the opportunity to allow our love for Jesus Christ shine through us upon you. We are simply an assembly of disciples of Jesus who have been justified and transformed by the grace of God through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God’s unique holy Son. If you are unsure of your relationship with God, or you are just looking for a church home, we invite you to come visit with us. We desire our worship services to be warm, friendly, conversational, and directly upwards to glorify God. We believe that when we focus on vertical worship (worshiping God in Spirit and in truth), this will result in dynamic, mutually edifying horizontal (people to people) relationships. We believe that thorough, systematic Bible teaching and reverent worship God will help us accomplish this end.

Our History

We began meeting together to worship, pray, and learn of God in February of 2012. God led us to connect with Grace Baptist Church of Salt Lake City through their church planting efforts. Grace Baptist in Salt Lake sent out Pastor Jerry and Frani Johnson, a well-qualified, mature ordained pastor for over 20 years to lead us in establishing a Bible-preaching, God-centered, Gospel-centered church in Ely.

On April 4, 2016 Grace Baptist Church of Ely was officially chartered.

We emphasize traditional-reverent worship, expositional (verse by verse) preaching and teaching, grace-filled service, and a warm friendly atmosphere.

Each Sunday we begin our worship at 10:00 with Sunday School for children and Bible Study for adults. Our main worship service begins at 11:00 and lasts about an hour, filled with encouraging music and Bible preaching.
